Read the exact environmental limits

Look for documented operating temperature, ingress language, charging restrictions, and mounting orientation. A rating for the camera may not apply to an open connector, damaged seal, separate panel, cable joint, or improvised enclosure.

Keep water moving away

Do not block feeder drains or camera vents. Use drip loops only where approved, seat port covers, and avoid low points that collect water. Dry electronics before opening a card slot or charging port.

Manage condensation without defeating seals

Rapid temperature changes can fog a lens or trap moisture. Move the device to a dry supported environment and follow maker guidance. Do not open sealed components, apply unapproved heat, or assume a cover raises the official rating.

Inspect after severe weather

Check mount tension, cracks, panel position, cable abrasion, seed condition, lens clarity, seals, and drainage. Remove the system for water inside electronics, battery damage, exposed conductors, an unstable mount, wet food, or any condition outside the exact instructions.
