Separate wireless data from power

Test the real outdoor path

Control alerts before they control you
Frequent notifications can make a capable feeder frustrating. Look for documented controls covering motion sensitivity, detection zones, quiet hours, alert schedules, animal filtering, and notification categories. Begin with moderate settings and adjust after observing real activity rather than maximizing sensitivity immediately. Moving leaves, harsh light changes, squirrels, and people can create unwanted triggers depending on the system. If alerts stop, check both the feeder app and the phone's notification permissions, battery optimization, focus modes, and background-app settings before assuming the camera has failed.
